Mason Hart was 23. He had no problem striking up a conversation with strangers and would light up a room when he entered. He was fun-loving and made friends everywhere he went.
Mason was raised in Houston. Growing up he played football, basketball and baseball. He had a love for the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, skiing and snowboarding, Mason wanted to do it all.
With odds often stacked against him, Mason enrolled at Texas Tech University with his sights set on making a difference in the world. He pledged Alpha Tao Omega and was initiated on May 7, 2012. Mason worked hard often receiving the honor of the Dean’s Honor List, and was able to attain his Bachelors Degree on May 16, 2015.
After graduation, Mason was offered an opportunity of a lifetime. David Tucker, a long-time family friend, offered Mason a job on his boat. Without hesitation, his passion for adventure and love of fishing quickly convinced him to set sail.
Mason was having the time of his life, doing what he loved. Everyday Mason would report back to his sister Nicole and other friends just how much he loved sailing and how it was exactly what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
